The brand-new Prodigy 1.0x is a newschool park ski built to help you get creative inside and outside of the park. This Poplar-cored, 90mm underfoot freestyle twin, seasoned with 3mm of camber, has buckets of pop and flex while maintaining real performance on the downhill. Rebelling against symmetrical park ski tradition, the directional shape of the Prodigy 1.0x ensures that you have more control throughout your turn, whether that’s carving in switch to a 40-foot booter or hand-dragging into a wavey trail feature. The wider shovel and Surf Zone tech means that you can easily blend those carves into butters while the skinnier, surfboard-inspired pintail feels effortless to slarve and press on pretzel landings or knuckle take-offs. Flax stringers, lighter and more ecological than fibreglass, keep the ski lightweight while XL 2.2mm edges, thicker bases and full Cap tips and tails ensure a bombproof set of sticks that lay the tracks for modern-day, do-it-all park skis.
- Rocker Type
- 290mm Tip Rocker / 3mm Camber / 230mm Tail Rocker
- Flex
- Flex Rating – 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
- Sidecut
- Elliptical Sidecut – Made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail results in seamless turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths and angles.
- Shape
- Directional Twin – A considerably skinnier tail width than the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness and freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch without problem.
- Core
- Poplar / Ash Core – Poplar is a light-colored, durable softwood that flexes and pop nicely with great vibration absorption capabilities. Ash is a heavier hardwood that compliments the Poplar by adding stiffness and durability. This duo provides a good hold on hard snow, a solid base for stomping landings and enough pop and flex to get creative.
- Sidewalls
- Full Strength Sidewall – This construction places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impacts and outside damage.
- Anti-Chip Micro Cap – A hybrid of a premium sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski's topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping.
- Edges
- XL 2.5mm Edges – Extra edge thickness gives the skier a pair of skis that absorb shock and impact much better than skis with standard edges. The result is a ski with a much higher life expectancy.
- Binding Compatibility
- We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width
