How Try Before you buy works
Try Before You Buy is available at 10 slopeside Christy Sports locations in Avon, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Crested Butte, Vail, Steamboat, Telluride, Deer Valley, and Big Sky. You can try out the same models available for sale in store, allowing you to test different skis before making a purchase. Up to 2 days of credit from Try Before You Buy program can be applied to a new ski purchase within the same season. Skis are available on a first come, first served walk-in basis at select locations and cannot be reserved in advance.
- CONNECT WITH AN ASSOCIATE IN STORE: A staff member will help you to assess what skis will be best to test and set you up for the day.
- TEST YOUR GEAR: Try out the skis on the mountain to see what you like best. Multiple pairs of skis can be tested in a single day for the same price, so you can directly compare and find the best model for your skiing needs.
- RETURN ON SCHEDULE: Return the ski and snowboard gear to the same location on the scheduled date. Late return fees apply.
- APPLY YOUR CREDIT: If testing helps your find your dream ski setup, you can apply up to 2 days worth of the Try Before You Buy rental cost to the purchase price of a new pair of skis within the same season.

How much is the Try Before You Buy fee?

What is the difference between Demo Rental and Try Before You Buy?
Demo rentals are available at most Christy Sports locations and feature top-performance skis and boards from leading brands. While demo options include high-quality models, they don’t cover all the skis for sale. Select stores also offer Try Before You Buy Skis, which include every model available for purchase, some of which may also be available for demo rental. Try Before You Buy helps customers decide on a purchase, while Demo Rentals are for those seeking the best rental experience without the obligation to buy.
